IF anyone knew what you meant, maybe you'd get an answer.

You're asking if MPS is gonna get a license to slap a MechWarrior label on their product?

Hopefully yes.  Personally, I see the Battletech series as a good template for realistic mecha.  I would love to see a "raven" or "mad cat" romping around in a large flat desert or in a city landscape.  It's just damn cool.

I'd rather have a Monster.
Who needs practicality when you've got big guns? :)

Personally, I prefer the Mad Cat to any other American-designed mechs, although my experience is limited to the Battletech universe--that old Battletech game for Sega Genesis and MechWarrior 4.  Yeah, I know, it's not much, but it works for me.

i think the mad dog is also known as the vulture, to the inner spere

I didn't know you could pic

Personally I always say battletech mechs as a bit too tall. I'd go for a M.A.C. II Monster but that puppy needs two other crewmem, so I'd rather stick to the Gryphen (patlabor)

How tall are BattleTech mechs?
The Monster's almost 74 feet.

A mech in a Battletech-universe game or book is called a BattleMech or 'Mech for short, and they're usually 3-5 stories tall.

I'm aware of terminology.
Isn't that about 30-40 feet?
That's about HALF the height of a Monster.

JB, I realize that you know the Battletech terminology.  I gave that for those who didn't know.

As for the height, I'd say that, seeing as how 'Mechs vary in size, it would be anywhere from 40 to 60 feet tall, since a floor in an office building is on average 12-15 feet above the one below it.  Just think how easy it would be to get stepped on if you're running from a 'Mech battle (you being on foot) and the MechWarriors--'Mech pilots in the Battletech universe--didn't know you were there.  They wouldn't even notice you.

Okay, it seemed to be directed specifically to me.
Apologies.

Which answeres my question nicely.
Which leaves me wondering why Chaos Blade wants a Monster if BattleMechs are "too tall".

because the monster is not a first line mecha, it is a very heavy fire support unit, or an extra spaceship turret with the ability to move, you chose.
but if enough smaller units got too close, it is bye bye.
Generaly the macross universe mecha don't surpas the 10m limit (average zentraedi, but I should check my sources)

Ahhhh...
Intent to use it in it's designed role.

Macross mechs are almost all in the 10-16 meter range. Zentradi mech tend to be a tad larger(16-20m).

But unlike battletech mechs, macros mechas have an excuse for the size.

Of course the mechs look bigger in mech commander (I'd go for five-six sorites vs the three of the valks)
