How Internships Work

MPS is always recruiting actively for a wide range of positions - everything from assembly workers to mechanical engineers and pilots. The company has found and continues to search for team members and interns among experienced craftsmen, technical experts, retired professionals, and even current college students. Time or distance constraints can be accommodated - some team members even continue to contribute during tours of active duty overseas.

MPS holds two 'Intern Cycles' each calendar year. These cycles begin around January 1st and July 1st. The Internship process with MPS lasts a minimum of 4 months, in which the skills and dedication of the individual are tested. After the 4 month cycle, all present Team Members vote on the inclusion of the Interning individual. If the vote falls positive, the individual becomes part of the MPS Team. During the Internship, there is no credit given for time, resources, or transportation. There are no medical benefits, and no pay. An intern is expected to support themselves throughout the internship. MPS will make any and all possible solutions to an individuals situation. This is designed to help an individual complete assigned tasks, and keep them ready for new assignments.

What You Get From Interning
MPS Interns can look forwards to a broad range of experience in their field of focus, as well as plenty of exposure to related (and even unrelated) work. Full review and work verification is provided upon request for resume, reference, or university credit.

The biggest benefit of interning is the possibility of being voted onto the MPS Team. After each 4 month internship, the entire team votes on the performance and experience of the interning individual. If the individual is found to be of merit, and a positive vote is held, that person becomes part of the MPS Team. As a part of the MPS Team, each hour worked in the service of the company earns one share in the corporation. MPS is thus staffed by its owners, so each personal decision directly affects yourself, the company and your colleagues.
